最近 Dash 這 startup 引起一些注意，背後的概念倒很簡單，即是結合網路、社群的 GPS 裝置。以下是一些特性：
動態尋徑
- 對目的地提供至少三條不同路徑
- 每條路徑由以下方式產生
- 其他 Dash 使用者匿名分享他們的位置與速度，由此得知目前交通狀況，例如堵塞等。
- 參考過去此條路徑紀錄下的歷史資料
- 由於持續連結到網路上，路徑會動態更新，若開始堵車，會自動建議其他路徑。
結合網路的搜尋功能
- 結合 Yahoo Local 搜尋地點、產品、服務等等，可找到持續更新、社群提供的資料，不再由服務供應商維護。
- 由你目前的位置、目的地來最佳化搜尋結果。
- 實例應用：在路上打入「飲茶」，來搜尋附近供應飲茶的各店家，不需知道店名。
從網路上直接傳送地址到 Dash 上
- 從 IE, Outlook 中直接傳送地址到自己車上
- 也可以讓其他人幫忙傳送
- 實例：著急的業務請同事傳送客戶的地址到車上，直接避開交通堵塞抵達地點。
聽來相當有趣，是嗎？簡單的 GPS 結合網路，目前許多 PDA 都做得到，但無限可能要由創意以及恰當的軟體科技達成。台灣很會製造了，意味著加上這些就是如虎添翼！
